This was my first hunt with Paul Ellis and Sunday Creek Outfitters, but it will not be my last. Paul guaranteed me a hunt of a lifetime, and he came through with that promise and then some. I’ve hunted from Alaska to South Texas and this was the best hunt I’ve been on in my life, without exception. My guide was tremendous, putting me on six bulls (saw close to 100 elk) the second morning, all great trophies, 6x6 and better. Not even sure if I shot the biggest one in the group, but he was definitely the bull of a lifetime. Paul runs a top quality hunting operation and I was totally satisfied with every aspect of the experience. Everyone from the guide to the butcher to the taxidermist was polite, courteous and went out of their way to make this a truly memorable hunt. I could not recommend a better elk hunt or Outfitter then Paul Ellis and Sunday Creek Outfitters.

This was my first time hunting elk with Sunday Creek Outfitters and what an experience!! My Montana Elk hunt resulted in the taking of a very large 6X6 bull elk which was my first bull elk!!! The guide service was tremendous and great effort was made to make my hunt the hunting success of a life time. Great accommodations was provided and the attitude, effort, and skill that was provided by Sunday Creek Outfitters to help this senior citizen obtain his first bull elk will always be remembered and cherished! I plan to return soon not only to get reacquainted with friends but to have another successful elk hunt!

During the fall rifle season for Montana elk, I had the opportunity to hunt with Sunday Creek Outfitters. The experience was one that I will never forget!! Paul Ellis and his guide Eric Nunberg made the hunting experience a complete joy providing a fantastic elk hunt that resulted in the taking of a mature 6X6 elk. This was my first bull elk and for someone back east from North Carolina who had never hunted elk, it was quite an experience. Full service was provided and there enthusiasm in helping me get my first bull elk was greatly appreciated. My plans are to return for additional hunts with Sunday Creek Outfitters not only to hunt elk but to enjoy a week of visiting with Paul and Eric who we consider as friends!

After Eric spotted the elk his sneak on them was perfect. I was able to set up and shoot from a prone position. Your guides are top notch, very personable and they really know the country and how the game use it. I want to thank you personally for going above and beyond what was required of you on my elk hunt.
